How Some Oils Work

CBD/Hemp/Humulus works differently than other oils our (and our pets) system.

Humans (and mammals) have something called (cannabinoid) receptors on the surface of cells. There are two main receptors, CB1 and CB2 and it has been shown that CBD (Cannabidiol) strengthens and improves the efficacy of mitochondria (the power source for every cell in your body).

Studies on the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) have shown that apart from being regulator of homeostasis, the ECS also responsible for repairing damaged cells, it regulates a variety of biological process (such as relaxation, feeding, sleep, certain inflammatory reactions and even cognitive function) . Research has also shown that cannabinoids are able to target damaged cells without affecting normal cells, which means that the ECS can act as a biological defense system.

When a person ingests hemp oil, CBD, or other cannabinoids, these cannabinoid receptors are activated (CBD seems to have a higher affinity for CB2 receptors than CB1 receptors). Research indicates that when you supplement your ECS with non-toxic, non-addictive cannabinoids, it is possible to develop a healthier endocannabinoid system and, almost certainly, a healthier life. As CB1 and CB2 receptors are in the cells of the body it is important to remember they are abundant in the brain and the immune system. The body produces cannabinoids in a natural process (such as endocannabinoids; anandamide and 2-AG) and they share a chemical structures similar to cannabinoids derived from plants like CBD.

Essential Oils when inhaled, for example, delivered by diffusing with water, enter all cells in the body in approximately 80 seconds (times may vary, depending on person or animal) and effectively going where it's needed most.

Special Note:

Most work-place drug screens and tests target delta9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and do not detect the presence of Cannabidiol (CBD) or other legal natural hemp-based constituents. However, studies have shown that eating hemp foods and oils can cause confirmed positive results when screening urine and blood specimens. Accordingly, if you are subject to any form of drug testing or screening, we recommend (as does the United States Armed Services) that you DO-NOT ingest our products.
