Young Living Quality vs Quanity

Since the government came forward with the benefits of CBD/Hemp oils, more and more distributors (as well as retailers) are offering these oils as well as essential oils. One of the major considerations customers are looking at is price. Purchasing oil is not one of those times to base a product on prices. With the Federal and state laws, quality of product, how it effects you (or your pet) could be issues that arise if choosing the purchase solely on price. The following is a Special Message from Young Living's President/COO regarding "Quality vs Quantity".

Our company's President and Coo, Jared Turner, is pumping out so much goodness for us lately!

When the cost of our essential oils is seen as a challenge by our customers, I like to describe for them the work required to run farms around the world without using herbicides or other toxic chemicals.

It costs us around $12,000 per acre to weed our Mona, Utah lavender fields by hand, using manual labor. Do you know how much “weeding” costs other companies? $60.00 per acre. Spraying cheap (and toxic) herbicides is faster and much cheaper.

At our two Young Living lavender farms in France and Utah, we produce lavender plants from seed only, not from clones. This is called “population” lavender. Each is unique and different.

With cloned lavender the yield is greater, and profit is higher, but quality is not. It’s all exactly the same plant, so if a certain chemical constituent is high or low, it’s true across the farm.

This is important to understand in distinguishing our essential oil from other companies. We’re one of the last companies to offer true population lavender. The profit margins aren’t the highest, but the quality is.

Special Reminder: In the United States, essential oils can be labeled 100% and actually contain only 5% oil. Meanwhile they are not required to disclose other possible toxins used as a filler which can cause adverse reactions in your loved one.
